A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal #AtoZChallenge
Ready for Puerto Lopez, a coastal Ecuador fishing town, A to Z?
Throughout April, you will see one photo per day with a 26-word description.
Update on April 9 (letter H day):
A Note on Theme Changes
Before the A to Z Challenge began, I loved the idea of sharing one Puerto Lopez photo per day and writing a 26-word description. I placed both restrictions on myself. Now that I have used this theme for a week, I sometimes want to use a few more words. This paragraph alone has 55 words.
Also, I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to decide on just one photo.
Announcing AtoZ Challenge theme changes!
- Beginning today, more than one photo is allowed. No large photo galleries but there might be a few photos.
- For letters I-Z, posts will have 26 to 200 words.
Hope you return for slightly longer, more visual posts!
If you are visiting from the A to Z Challenge, please include your blog URL so I can check it out.

Emily,
Thanks for stopping in yesterday for my A2Z Theme Reveal. Just so you'll know your WP log-in info pointed me to a blog that requires an invite. If you use this on all sites you visit without using a signature to this blog in your comments then you'll find many folks not connecting the dots. Now to your theme. I love photography, so your theme sounds like a fabulous opportunity to see a place I know I'll never visit. Have lots and lots of fun next month. I shall look forward to joining you in the fun. 😉

Thank you Cathy – I appreciate you letting me know that I sent you on a wild goose chase (sorry about that). I fixed the WP link to go to this blog. It should be a fun month!

Hi Emily! I think I landed up in your other blog and got to a different theme reveal?? I've no idea how I managed to do that 🙂 Anyways, very glad to be here and looking forward to your posts on Ecuador. I remember your fascinating series from last year. All the very best for an awesome April and A-Z.

Ah you found my husband Scott's blog. He is a first time participant in A-Z after watching the fun I had with it last year. We did not reveal our themes to each other until now and we both selected something related to Puerto Lopez.
Thank you, Nilanjana, for the idea for 26 photos with 26-word descriptions! I shall have fun with it.

Hi Emily – I hope I find my way to Scott's blog … but will most definitely enjoy your A-Z … and yes I've been reminded I need to work out how to put a signature link onto my blog … so looking forward to find out more about Puerto Lopez – cheers Hilary
Emily Bloomquist
Thank you Hilary! I should have provided a link above to Scott's Theme Reveal.
You have a couple of weeks to figure out the signature link and I am sure you will. See you in April!
Hilary Melton-Butcher
I found Scott's link via someone else … so am following him. I must and will this year work out the signature link! Cheers H
Emily Bloomquist
Excellent! Send me a comment via my comments page if you would like any tips on the signature. I can email you a text file with the html in it if that helps.

I'm loving the idea of this! I'm an ardant globe traveler but I've yet to discover Equador. I'm certain you'll tempt me in your direction.

If you decide on Ecuador as a future destination, you will certainly have more knowledge about Puerto Lopez 🙂 Perhaps we'll see you our way one day.

Hi Emily, I began following your blog last year during A-Z and I look forward to more this April. I'm doing A-Z on 2 blogs this year:

http://heatherericksonauthor.com A-Z Theme: Creativity (and how to get more!)
Emily Bloomquist
Thanks Heather! I appreciate your Facing Cancer with Grace blog and will have to check out your author blog. Wow – two blogs in one A-Z!

I am, too! We don't read each others until they are published so it will be a fun surprise for me reading Scott's. I am looking forward to both of yours – highly ambitious doing two yourself but right up your alley!
Miss Andi
This sounds fabulous Emily, looking forward to it!
Emily Bloomquist
Thanks Miss Andi – Nilanjana posted this idea on idea sharing day and I am running with it.

Bravo on deciding to leave a corporate life and move to a fishing village. I'd like to do that one day. I even have a place ear-marked for that. That being said, I'm excited for this theme and I'll be sure to check the blog. Happy blogging.

I love reunions. How fun to see you again!
Margaret
Ecuador! I don't think I've ever met anyone who has visited, much less lived there. It looks very lush and green.
Emily Bloomquist
Nice to meet you, Margaret. Come on back to see more. For a small country, Ecuador has a variety of climates, with the coast being quite different than the mountains or Amazon. Puerto Lopez, my coastal town, is surrounded by a national park, which includes islands, beaches, dry forest, and cloud forest. See you in April!
Anagha Yatin
That would be an amazing window to a far off city! Wishing you all the best for the April challenge Emily.
Emily Bloomquist
Thanks Anagha, wishing you the best, too, and hope you enjoy!

I love travel and learnign about new places; your blog sounds the perfect spot for that. I am looking forward to reading your posts this April. All the best.
