Boats in Puerto Lopez #AtoZChallenge
Boats help support many families. Fishermen are at sea for one to several nights.
Daily tour boats take people whale watching, island hiking, snorkeling, and diving.

Great shot – from a plane?

Thank you – yes, from an ultralight plane.
John Holton
I was going to guess a helicopter, myself. Nice shot!
Emily Bloomquist
It would have been a good guess. Thanks John!

I have enough trouble locating my car in a car park – I wouldn't stand a chance of finding my boat among that lot!

Ha ha! Almost every boat is blue and white, adding to the difficulties.
Kristin
The boats look like a school of fish in the water.

You are right, Kristin – they do!

Hi Emily – lovely shots of the boats and marina … and what a wonderful trip that must be in the ultralight plane … fantastic to see the coastline that way … gorgeous – cheers Hilary
Emily Bloomquist
It was an incredible flight, Hilary. Over much too quickly but I enjoyed every moment, seeing the coastline like I never had before.
Anagha Yatin
Felt as if the boats are congregating for discussion on some important topic!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Emily Bloomquist
Yes, a boat convention! Ha ha!
Heather Erickson
Great picture! They look like little toys.
Emily Bloomquist
Thanks! They sure do.
Heidi
What a great view! Looks like a very active boating community there in Puerto Lopez…. Heidi at, A Little of This & That

Yes, fishing is the primary industry in town so every fishing family owns or works on a boat. There are not too many individually owned pleasure crafts but there are quite a few tour boats. Thanks Heidi!

Hi Emily. Sorry I missed your A. I have family visiting for Easter break, so it's a bit hectic.
First of all, I really like your new blog name. It's perfect.
And secondly, that's an awesome shot.

B is for Brihadisvara
Emily Bloomquist
Thank you, Arti, for both your comment on the new blog name and on the pic. No worries about A. Enjoy your family!
Varadharajan
That's a great shot, Emily. I initially thought it was a drone, but then the top left corner gave it away. The boats look like fish that have come to feed.
B is for Boss
Emily Bloomquist
Thank you Varad. I wanted some indication in the shot that showed it was not a drone and that worked well. The boats do look like feeding fish! LOL!
Leslie Moon
That's alot of boats. A great photo.
Glad you are doing the challenge again. Happy A to Zing!

Nice photo! And I'll agree about the blog name change–it's good.
Rebecca who is NOT doing A to Z
Emily Bloomquist
Thank you, Rebecca! I contemplated the blog name change for a long time then finally went for it. Thanks for stopping by.
Miss Andi
Wow, that is one beautiful shot! I love boats. I don't know how to drive them (is that even the right word? Drive?) but I just love being on them.

Thanks Miss Andi! I am in the same boat, so to speak. I love being on them but don't know how to drive (operate?) them either.

That's a lot of boats. I get nervous about being on a boat, but that's just my fear of open water I guess. When we went to Ecuador we took a nice boat ride on Lake Cuicocha. I was nervous at first, but then I became very relaxing after a while.

Tossing It Out
Emily Bloomquist
It is a lot of boats! Going out on a lake was probably smarter for you than out on the ocean. Next time, you could give the ocean a try. My mom is nervous on boats, too, but she went out with me. We had on life jackets the whole time. Without those, I doubt she would have enjoyed it (or even gone).

Beautiful pic. Island hiking sounds like fun.
