Fireworks over Puerto Lopez

Fireworks – Any time is the right time #AtoZChallenge

Fireworks are used in Ecuador to celebrate following days:

  • Holiday
  • Birthday
  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

At least, I think that is right.

I do not see fireworks every day. I see them any day. I never know when or where they will appear.

It is like a spontaneous party erupts in the sky out of nowhere. Often, my husband and I are not sure what is being celebrated (usually someone´s birthday). He will declare that it is a party for whichever day of the week it currently is.

¨Hey, it´s Tuesday! Let´s celebrate!¨

Then we sit back and enjoy the show.

New Year´s Eve fireworks

New Year´s Eve is always a spectacular fireworks night. The sky is filled with fireworks from mid-day until well past Midnight. It is a great time for fireworks lovers.

I took this 1 minute, 40 second sampling of the show at 12:39am on January 1, 2017 in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador:

Fun way to ring in the new year!
